The Capital District Women’s Bar Association has a long history of screening and rating judicial candidates seeking elected positions. Our goals are to educate our members and the public on the qualifications of individuals seeking judicial office, and to obtain a qualified judiciary that is diverse and representative of the community.
After several years of debate and consideration, the CDWBA disbanded its screening and rating functions. We now have prepared a questionnaire which is designed to elicit relevant information from candidates in their own words.
Candidate responses are listed in alphabetical order:
Hon. William A. Carter
Candidate for Albany County
Please see Judge Carter’s answers to the Judicial Questionnaire here.
Candidate for State Supreme Court Justice, 4th Judicial District
Please see Mike’s answers to the Judicial Questionnaire here.
Please check back to see additional candidate questionnaires as they are received.
If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact Ricja Rice at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Creation of the Judicial Task Force
The Judicial Task Force and Judicial Selection committee have now been combined as one committee (now the Judicial Task Force). A part of the committee’s mission is to educate members and the community on the qualifications of candidates for judicial office in the Third and Fourth Judicial Districts.
